New Interview with Remender along with art by Dan Brereton

CBR has a new interview with Rick Remender on what will happen with Frank in the next couple of arcs as well as what's going on in the current arc and the ramifications of what's happening.
Some bits that interested me:
-The Bloodstone apparently has regenerative abilities, which is why both Hellsgaard and Frank both want it.
-The climax will happen in the Alps and in Limbo.
-After this arc, Frank will come back out of the sewers and immediately begin hunting down those "did him wrong."
-His villains will include: "Lady Gorgon and her clan of Hand troops; the new Jigsaw, Stu Clarke; Frank's former ally turned enemy, Microchip; the Deadly Dozen; Daken; the Shaolin Scientist Squad and even the Hood."
-Henry's returning very soon.
-While the rest of the Marvel Universe will transition into this 'Historic Age', Frank won't and will continue to kill.
It's a decent interview, some good information on what will be happening very soon. Punisher 14 will also detail some of Hellsgaard's backstory as well as Hellsgaard's and Frank's parallels, so they got this Dan Brereton guy to paint those scenes... those scenes look great:

Punisher 14 is out on the 17th.

While I admit I hated the Francastle idea with a passion, I have to admit the last issue flowed together pretty well. Maybe our pal Frank will get much more than a release from that Franken monster body. It's also known the bloodstone provided Ulysses Bloodstone (the original owner) with powers. Heres a quote from wiki;
"The mystic Bloodstone fragment embedded in Bloodstone's chest emanates magical energy which increases his physical strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes, and senses to superhuman levels. The Bloodstone also provides vast regenerative capabilities that enable him to rapidly regenerate damaged or destroyed bodily tissue with much greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. The more extensive the injury, the longer it takes for him to fully heal. Bloodstone's healing ability is sufficiently developed to regrow severed limbs, which he has done at least once. On this occasion, Bloodstone enters a state of self-induced hibernation which lasts about 10 years. Aside from his greatly enhanced healing, the Bloodgem renders Bloodstone virtually immortal in the sense that he is immune to the effects of aging and to all known diseases. Bloodstone's life is dependent upon the presence of the fragment. As a result, Bloodstone doesn't require food, water, or air to survive. However, if he is forcefully separated from the gem, he will die."
The Marvel Directory states
"Strength Level: Bloodstone possesses superhuman strength, enabling him to lift (press) about five tons."
I've argued that Frank should hunt down the power broker and undergo the super soldier process that gave U.S.Agent his powers, a 10 ton benching Frank would deliver major amounts of pwnage to the Marvel universe. Frank can easily get the money to do this, I just wonder why Marvel turns a blind eye to it.

Tony Moore is still doing the art. Dan Brereton is only doing the flashbacks.

That figures, they hire an artist whose panels look like paintings and he
won't even be drawing the Punisher in his own book
. I am astonished at how proficient Marvel has become at making bad decisions for this title.

Christ, how many Remender interviews do they need? It seems like they have to have one with every issue. It is almost as if Marvel isn't liking the numbers and therefore they have to pimp this as much as they can.

Mhm, that's definitely what I do when I find my house full of murdered family members.

I don't mind them using a different style for flashbacks. I quite like the art. Classic movie-poster style.

That's exactly what I'm saying, the art is really nice and they don't even use it to draw the Punisher in his portions... didn't I just say this?

I don't really see a problem with it though... I mean, they want to show the history of a monster hunter and they do it through the use of classic movie poster style painting. It fits.

I might buy this for the art alone.

And I do see a problem with it, so we disagree once again.
The big tragedy here is that the main character hunts monsters every issue, but he doesn't get to be drawn in a way that glorifies him as an epic hero.

Well, of course they don't have Frank in the flashbacks. It practically isn't even a Punisher title anymore.

Why would they have him in a flashback that looks like it takes place like 40 years before Frank was even born?
